Abstract
In a split sample study, 580 cows were inseminated with diluted semen containing 500 [mu]g./ ml. of dihydrostreptomycin sulfate with 71.6% non-returns to first service, as compared to 68.4 for 586 cows inseminated with diluted semen containg CaCl2 complex streptomycin at the same poncn. The diluent was egg yolk-citrate-sulfanilamide. In concns. above 100[mu]g./ml. CaCl2 complex streptomycin was incompatible with phosphate buffers. Keywords
