Abstract
For pt.I see ibid., vol.8, no.15, p.1827 (1975). From experimental measurements of the frequency and wavelength of the periodic component in the X direction, it has been concluded that it is not a well-known coupling mode. A theoretical description is presented, of a mode periodic along X vibrating at twice the fundamental resonance frequency, which is in close agreement with experimental observations. The unwanted mode is believed to be coupled to the fundamental mode by virtue of non-linear elastic behaviour. Keywords
