Abstract
En se fondant sur les études morphologique et biométrique des restes des deux Cerfs provenant de niveaux archéologiques datés du Würm ancien, nous avons mis en évidence que la forme de petite taille devait être distinguée du grand élaphe et rapportée à une nouvelle espèce Cervus simplicidens. Il apparaît également que les exigences écologiques des deux espèces sont différentes.With morphological and biometrical studies of the remains of Red Deer found in archaeological layers dated from the lower Würm, we showed that the smaller Cervus must be distinguished from the larger one and attributed to a new species Cervus simplicidens. It also appears that this two Cervids don't live in the same environment, Cervus simplicidens is tighly linked to the forest with a temperate and wet climate.Guadelli Jean-Luc.
