Abstract
D-Amino-acid oxidase occurs in the liver of 2 cephalopods, Sepia officinalis and Octopus vulgaris. The substrate specificity of the enzyme was studied in tissue homogen-ates. The Octopus enzyme is also present in the extract of an acetone-dried powder of the liver. The enzyme was also found in the "liver" of a gastropod species. Helix. The "livers" of 2 lamelibranchs were examined. The enzyme was found in Mytilus edulis, but it was not found in Anodonta. Keywords
