Treatment of Bee Sting Reactions

Abstract
Dr. Frankland, who works at the Wright-Fleming Institute of Microbiology at St. Mary's Hospital in London, is one of the leading allergy specialists in England. He has a wide experience of treating beekeepers who have developed a sensitivity to bee stings, but to Dr. Frankland bee-sting sensitivity (i.e. bee-protein sensitivity) is only a single facet of a general allergic condition. This article, based on part of a lecture given at the B.R.A. Conference in Sittingbourne last July, describes in simple language the effects of bee stings and the treatments that are available.
