Correspondence Betweenα-Transfer and Two-Proton and Two-Neutron Transfer Reactions to the Nickel Isotopes

Abstract
The (Li6, d) reaction has been measured at 34-MeV incident energy from targets of Fe54, Fe56, and Fe58 using a Q3D spectrograph. A close correspondence is found between the (Li6, d) spectra and previous (t, p) and (He3, n) results for the same final nuclei. The 0+ proton-pairing vibration states in Ni58 and Ni60 are strongly excited, and the pairing vibration is identified for the first time at 3.519 MeV in Ni62 based on (Li6, d). The remainder of the levels in Ni60 and Ni62 follow closely the (t, p) patterns of excitation.
