Abstract
We first show how the Method of Lines can be used to solve the transient Maxwell’s Equations in a three-dimensional space. We then compare our numerical results with the analytical solution to a simple waveguide propagation problem, and with the recently published numerical as well as experimental results for microwave cavities. Satisfactory agreements have been obtained. Finally we show by simulation that more uniform heating could be achieved by rotating the power entry port in a steady way. Keywords
