Abstract
Data are presented on a patient who developed bone marrow aplasia and pancytopenia after 40 days of propylthiouracil therapy. Rapid and complete recovery ensued following discontinuation of the drug. Attempts to demonstrate an immune mechanism or a metabolic effect of propylthiouracil on patient''s bone marrow cells were unsuccessful. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
