Abstract

Preincubation of rat visceral yolk sac with goat anti-rat placenta IgG and following incubation with ¹²⁵I-HSA resulted in a reduction of the uptake of albumin by 30–50 % in comparison with the controls. Inhibitors of respiration or glycolysis impair the ingestion of protein, likewise the reduction of the incubation temperature.
