Heat Shock and Ecdysterone-Induced Protein Synthesis in Drosophila Cells

Abstract
Drosophila melanogaster is one of the best described eukaryotes, in terms of its genetics and cytogenetics. However, because of small size, its usefulness for studies at the molecular level has been somewhat restricted. This is especially true in the area of endocrinology, in particular, the molecular genetic events underlying metamorphosis.
