Abstract
Estimation of total body Cl in a series of 8 newborn infants (age 2-16 days) revealed an avg. value of 51.1 meq./kg.with a range of 41.2-63.6. Comparison with results obtained by others using carcass analysis lends strong support to the contention that radio Br dilution constitutes a valid means for measuring total body Cl in this age group. Keywords
