Abstract

To prevent disability or death, the time for intervention in the natural history of a disease is before signs and symptoms occur. Health hazard appraisal aids in recognition of specific risks for patients and thereby, hopefully, leads to reduction of these risks. This technic warrants expanded study and implementation.
