Abstract
The aim of this investigation was to determine the concurrent validity of the Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children (K-ABC) with the WISC-R, PIAT, and WRAT. Results indicated a significant difference (t = 2.8, p < .01) between the mean K-ABC Mental Processing Composite (88) and mean WISC-R Full Scale IQ (93) despite significant high correlations among these scores. The mean K-ABC Achievement score (85) did not differ significantly from the average PIAT Total or any of the subtests on the WRAT. Implications of these findings are discussed. Keywords
