Abstract
The mass levels of the charmonium and the bottonium are calculated based on the instantaneous ladder BS equation. The agreement with experiment is fairly good. We get smaller αs than nonrelativistic analyses. Λms is estimated to be 80 ∼ 130 MeV. The relativistic effects are not so small in the charmonium.Keywords
