Spinodal decomposition under shear

Abstract
We examine phase separation of immiscible fluid mixtures in shear flow. Far from the critical point there are two regimes depending on the Reynolds number of the velocity field induced by surface tension. Near the criticality, domains are strongly anisotropic in the strong shear case.Keywords
