Abstract
The authors describe an improved analysis for an approximate expression of the toroidal helical field. The homogeneous solutions of the first order differential equation for magnetic scalar potential are taken into account as the terms representing the modification by bending of current density. It is found that the magnetic axis for l=n=2 helical; field is nonplanar and is shifted inwards as well as the average magnetic surfaces. The result of the measurement on a small-scale helical winding confirmed the appropriateness of the analysis. Keywords
