Abstract
This paper is concerned with the two-dimensional (plane strain or plane stress) problem in linear elasticity of an elliptic elastic inclusion embedded in a matrix of a different anisotropic material. Each of the two anisotropic materials has one plane of symmetry (the most general number for which a two-dimensional problem may be formulated), with possibly 13 elastic constants. The matrix is subjected to a uniform stress or couple at infinity. There is a perfect bond at the interface between the matrix and the inclusion. Keywords
