Abstract
A novel, compact, dual-frequency design for cutting a pair of bent slots in the centre of a rectangular patch is demonstrated. For fixed dual-frequency operation, the proposed design provides an antenna-size reduction as high as 32%, compared to that of using a simple patch without the slots. Experimental results of the proposed design, with various sizes of the bent slots, are presented and analysed. Keywords
