Abstract
Dielectric heating, a generic term covering the microwave and radio frequency bands of the electromagnetic spectrum, can, in simple terms, be regarded as a ‘volumetric’ heat-transfer technique with apparent advantages over the conventional surface heating mechanisms. It has been widely and successfully used for a variety of industrial processes, such as PVC welding preheating of moulding polymers and drying of a range of non-metal productsKeywords
