Abstract
An AlGaAs phased-array laser diode with the SBW structure like the character “YY” is described. In such arrays, single 0° phase mode operation is achieved up to output power about 50 mW. This shows that SBW structure has the ability to select 0° phase mode and to suppress higher order array modes. Keywords
