Abstract
The geometrical interpretation of high-energy hadronic cross sections is discussed. Evidence is provided, by means of a simple model, that hadron-hadron total cross sections are not governed by geometry only, and that the interaction dynamics is flavor dependent and determines to a large extent the cross section of hadronic systems. The same conclusion is reached in a numerical approach of the problem. Keywords
