Abstract
Preview At what hemoglobin level should an elderly patient be considered anemic? Which types of anemia are especially likely to be seen in the older patient? What kind of workup is indicated? Dr Howe presents a logical, direct approach to the evaluation of anemia in the geriatric population. His approach avoids unnecessary laboratory studies and leads to clear definition of the underlying cause. Keywords
