Abstract
Cells of the bollworm, Heliothis zea (Boddie), developed faster and reached higher populations when media was supplemented with yeastolate. At least 8- sequential subcultures were needed to adapt cells to the enriched medium. Substitution of crystallized for solubilized plasma bovine albumin did not significantly increase the total number of cells. Cell populations doubled when basic medium was supplemented with natural insect hemolymph. Keywords
