Abstract
This note describes an instrument planned to allow the recovery of a core sample of sediment and water while conserving the interface between them in relatively undisturbed conditions. Sediment cores from 5 to 40 cm, with 150 to 1050 ml of overlying water, may be obtained with little disturbance. The sampler can be employed by hand or with a small winch for ease of operation. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
