Abstract
The effect of repetitive low force exercise (running) on muscle constituents probably differs from that of brief forceful activity (weight lifting). There is an increase in concentration of sarcoplasmic proteins in adult running rats; an increase in concentration of actomyosin in weight lifting. Increased performance and gross hypertrophy are invariable concomitants. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
