A TOPOGRAPHICAL ATLAS OF THE BRAIN-STEM OF THE RHESUS MONKEY

Abstract
For neuro-anatomists and physiologists studying cerebral functions and their localization the authors have prepared an atlas of transverse sections of the brain stem of Macacus rhesus[long dash]20 photomicrographs in 3 plates, from sections at representative levels beginning at the genu of the corpus callosum and ending in the myelencephalon caudal to the decussation of the cortico-spinal tract. The sections were stained by Weil''s method for myelin sheaths. The photographs are labeled with abbreviations of the Latin terms from the B.N.A. (1895) and revisions of 1935 and 1942. The sizes of the photographs range from 7 X 41/2 cm. to 3 X 2 cm.
