Abstract
A case report of a 28 yr. old white cf with spontaneous pneumothorax resulting in nearly complete collapse of the right lung is presented. The use of 100% O2 inhalation to facilitate re-expansion is described. The probable advantages seemed to be: more rapid re-expansion, relief of dyspnea, apprehension and chest pain, and reduction in duration of hospitalization. This method is recommended for future controlled trial. Keywords
