Abstract
A reliable method is described for producing canine epilepsy uniformly within 5 days by means of a diet containing wheat flour bleached with agene (NCl3). Wheat flour that is essentially free of fat and starch shows no loss of toxicity, and pure casein when treated like the flour becomes convulsant to dogs. Species differences in toxic reaction have been observed: monkeys develop a syndrome characterized by ataxia and tremors. Keywords
