Nb6I11, and DNb6I11, and HNb6I11: a powder neutron diffraction and inelastic scattering study

Abstract
Powder neutron diffraction and inelastic scattering studies on DNb6I11 and HNb6I11 suggest that the interstitial hydrogen atom is displaced slightly from the centre of gravity of the surrounding Nb6 cage in the low-symmetry phase. The inelastic scattering spectrum shows a broad peak for the Nb–H interactions at about 135 meV.
