Abstract
The occurrence of a diurnal vertical migration was recorded for two sublittoral cumaceans, Pseudocuma longicornis and Iphinöe trispinosa, in the sublittoral region of Kames Bay, Isle of Cumbrae, Scotland. Three 24-h surveys carried out in January, June, and July showed that both species performed a diurnal migration with greatest numbers appearing at the surface just after sunset and before sunrise. The swimming appendages and relative densities of these cumaceans were also noted.
