Abstract
The new measurements of the Sigma +, Lambda 0 and Xi 0 magnetic moments are considered. It is suggested that these are best explained in the MIT bag model by taking a higher value of the proton radius than is usual, and a greater percentage decrease in the radius, when an up or down quark is replaced by a strange quark. Keywords
