The vitamin B2 content of cereals and the supposed connection between human pellagra and deficiency of this vitamin

Abstract
Two samples of white rice, two samples of milled rice, "raw" and "parboiled," and whole ground millet were found to be poor sources of vitamin B2. On a basal diet complete except for vitamin B2, rats did not consistently develop skin symptoms. Diets containing 65% white hominy grits and 50% whole rice respectively did not cure the symptoms of pellagra.
