Susceptibility of human skin aerobic diphtheroids to antimicrobial agents in vitro

Abstract
One hundred and eighteen strains of human skin aerobic diphtheroids, isolated from healthy persons and characterized biochemically, were tested for susceptibility to 30 antimicrobial agents. Resistance to antibiotics was very low, except for some penicillins, tyrothricin and novobiocin. About one third of strains were moderately resistant to lincomycin. All diphtheroids tested revealed uniform resistance to polymyxin in a concentration of 0.2 μg/ml.Keywords
