Abstract
A new retro-carotenoid (1) isolated from the petals of the Californian yellow poppy, Eschscholtzia californica, was determined to be (all-E)-(3S,5R,3‘S)-4‘,5-retro-β,β-carotene-3,5,3‘-triol by spectroscopic analysis.Keywords
