Abstract
A method is developed for constructing the Lagrangian that describes the interaction of classical soliton solutions. We apply it to the Abelian Higgs model in 2 + 1 dimensions and the Georgi-Glashow model in 3 + 1 dimensions, and various features of the relevant Lagrangians are investigated. Keywords
