Neutral-particle production in 100-GeV/cp¯pinteractions

We have investigated the inclusive production of $\gamma$, $K_S^0$, ${\Lambda }^0$, and ${\overline{\Lambda }}^0$ in 100-GeV/c $\overline{p}p$ interactions in the 30-in. hydrogen bubble chamber at Fermilab. We present various inclusive distributions and compare them with corresponding distributions in 100-GeV/c $\mathrm{pp}$ interactions and lower-energy $\overline{p}p$ interactions. We find some evidence for $\Sigma \mathrm{}\left(1385\right)\mathrm{}$ production but none for $K^{*}\mathrm{}\left(890\right)\mathrm{}$ production. We find evidence for a nonzero ${\Lambda }^0$ polarization of -0.45 ± 0.21.
