The Effects of Day Length on the Coat-Shedding Cycles, Body Weight, and Reproduction of the Ferret

Abstract
The effeot of light on the ooat of the ferret has been measured during the annual oyole of seasons. Two groups of ferrets were kept in the same environment exoept for the daily duration of light, whioh oomprised the normal seasonal day length of Brisbane for the oontrol group, and a oomplete and exaggerated reversal of seasonal light trend for the experimental group.
