Abstract
Static electrification is caused by at least 5 basic mechanisms: (1) electrolytic effects, (2) contact or Volta electrification, (3) spray electrification, (4) frictional electrification and (5) mechanical separation of ions and electrons created by elect, phenomena in gases or in flames. It must be realized that 2 or more of these mechanisms may be involved in a given activity. This publication has 24 references indexed in Scilit:
