Abstract
Primary antihapten response to a monovalent conjugate of NIP (4-hydroxy-3-iodo-5-nitrophenylacetic acid) and bovine serum albumin (BSA) tended to be rich in 7S and primary response to a polyvalent conjugate NIP34-BSA rich in 19S anti-NIP antibodies. Monovalent conjugate NIP1.1-BSA tended to boost cells primed with polyvalent conjugates of NIP to a secondary anti-NIP response rich in 7S and polyvalent conjugate, NIP34-BSA, to a response rich in 19S anti-NIP antibodies. Monovalent conjugate, NIP1.1-BSA, did not prime the cells detectably, although it induced a primary antihapten response. Keywords
