Abstract
We report a study of the ac-induced magnetostriction of METGLAS 2605SC metallic glass ribbons, showing that transverse-field-annealed samples are extremely sensitive to small tensile stresses, and that under such conditions superior results can be obtained by annealing to produce a small volume fraction of surface crystallites. This publication has 12 references indexed in Scilit:
