Abstract
Two subjects were under observation for 1 year; 1 was in N. Carolina for 3 months, but with that exception they remained continuously in New Orleans. Food intakes were for the most part unrestricted, either as to quality or quantity. The urinary N was determined in 24-hr. periods and averaged about 10 gm. for 70 kgm. of body weight, somewhat less than observed in northern climates. The lower protein intake of the South is probably due to climatic conditions. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
