Abstract
Output power of 4 mW at an 80-mW pump power is reported for an Er-doped superfluorescent fiber laser pumped by a 1.48 mu m laser diode. A stable spectrum profile of 2-nm bandwidth (FWHM) is observed at output powers above 1 mW. The degree of polarization was observed, and it was found that more than 99.8% of the light was unpolarized within the limit of experimental error. Keywords
