Abstract
To the Editor: Recently we observed a 2940-g female baby with neonatal myasthenia gravis who was delivered at full term from a 30-year-old primiparous Japanese woman who had had generalized myasthenia gravis for two years. Several hours after birth the baby exhibited hypotonia, lack of facial expression, a weak cry and feeble limb movements. Diagnosis was made by the effect of neostigmine methylsulfate. The signs and symptoms subsided three weeks after birth and thereafter she developed normally. The pregnancy was uneventful, but the myasthenia gravis of the mother got worse around the time of delivery.Anti-acetylcholine receptor (anti-AChR) factors in . . .Keywords
