Abstract
The noises of plasma in PIG discharge was studied under the various kinds of the magnetic field configuration, i.e. the cusp field, the mirror field and divertor type field. The frequency spectrum of the anode voltage fluctuation and the plasma densities were measured. A stable and optimum discharge condition as a plasma source is obtained in a divertor type field. In such a field, not only the plasma noise amplitudes are minimized and are one fiftieth as large as those in the uniform field, but also the plasma density becomes much greater than that in other field configurations. Keywords
