Abstract
Expressions are given for allowed and first-forbidden and capture probabilities, and rules are formulated for obtaining such expressions for capture of any order of forbiddenness from any orbit. The effect of screening on branching ratios is discussed, and a table for the rapid calculation of allowed branching ratios, including screening effects, is given. The results are then applied to the decays of , , , and .
