Spectral Suppression with UV-Multichannel Detection in Peak Homogeneity Validation

Abstract
The theoretical basis of spectral suppression in peak homogeneity validation is reviewed. Past applications of pharmaceutical interest are examined and the controversial area of wavelength optimization illustrated with examples from the work on atenolol and glibenclamide. An outline of the different stages involved in a successful application of the technique is given briefly. The technique was found to be reliable and easy to use.
