Contribution to the Pathogenesis of Subacute Combined Degeneration of the Spinal Cord: Report of Two Cases

Abstract
This paper deals with the clinical and pathologic findings in 2 patients with sub-acute combined degeneration of the spinal cord; the patients did not have macrocytic anemia and achlorhydria. Abnormalities in the serum proteins were demonstrated in both persons. It is suggested that the latter findings are representative of the common pathogenetic denominator of the polyetiologic disease in the spinal cord.
