Abstract
An electrophoretic variant of β-glucuronidase is present in certain inbred mouse lines. The variant simultaneously affects the mobility of the lysosomal and microsomal forms of the enzyme. The difference is inherited as a single gene mapping at the position of the structural gene on chromosome 5. This confirms that β-glucuronidase at both intracellular sites is coded by the same structural gene. Keywords
