Abstract
The perturbation method for calculating atomic energies by power series in 1/Z and αZ has been extended to include parameters for screening and for expansion in the principal quantum number n. Numerical results are given and compared with observations for 1s nl and 1s2 nl of the helium and lithium isoelectronic sequences. Keywords
