Abstract
SPARKS L. (1987) Retailing in Enterprise Zones: the example of Swansea, Reg. Studies 21, 37–42. Enterprise Zones have attracted considerable discussion. One aspect has however been neglected, that of retailing developments. This paper points to the importance of the retail developments that have taken place within the Swansea Enterprise Zone, placing the analysis within the context of the control of retailing in Enterprise Zones nationally, and the move away from the high street in British retailing. Les zones à deévelopper industrialo-commerciales ont suscité beaucoup de débat. Cependant un aspect a été négligé, à savoir les projets dans le domaine du commerce de détail. Cet article signale l'importance des projets qui ont été lancés au coeur de la zone à développer industrialo-commerciale à Swansea, l'analyse se déroulant dans le cadre du contrôle du commerce de détail dans les zones à développer industrialo-commerciales à l'échelon national, et le déplacement du commerce de détail en Grande-Bretagne loin des rues commerçantes. Dabei ist ein Aspekt jedoch vernachlässigt worden: der der Entwicklungen im Einzelhandel. Diese Abhandlung weist auf die Bedeutsamkeit der Entwicklungen im Einzelhandel him, die in der Enterprise Zone von Swansea stattgefunden haben, wobei die Analyse mit der nationalen Lenkung des Einzelhandels in Enterprise Zones und dem Auszug des britischen Einzelhandels aus der Hauptgeschäftsstrasse in Zusammenhang gebracht wird.
